The July 2024 New York Bar Exam Results Have Been Released With a 69% Overall Pass Rate; 27% of Repeat Takers Passed the Bar Exam. Bar Professors Can Help Repeat Takers

The New York bar exam results for July 2024 have been released.


Repeat takers accounted for 20% of all candidates who sat for the bar exam.  33% of all candidates were foreign educated.


The overall pass rate was 69%. The first time taker pass rate was 79%. The repeat-takers pass rate was 27%.  The foreign educated candidates had a passing rate of 45%.


All ABA Graduates – First-Time Takers 88%

New York ABA Schools – First-Time Takers 87%

Out-of-State ABA Schools – First-Time Takers 90%

Foreign-Educated – First-Time Takers 55%

All First Time-Takers 79%

All ABA Graduates – First Time Takers and Repeaters: 81%

All Foreign Educated – First Time Takers and Repeaters:  45%

All Candidates – First Time Takers and Repeaters :69%

All Repeaters 27%
